My research focuses on the integration of recently arrived refugee and immigrant children into the educational system, particularly with regard to their home environments and socio-emotional development. Previously, I was involved in developing an online learning platform for child care workers working with newly arrived refugee children in preschool settings. Having lived and worked in several different countries, I am specifically interested in understanding how cultural practices and values shape parenting, learning, and behavior. Additional experiences and interests: international migration, human rights, poverty, and global development.
